About Score Plus
Score Plus is a locally owned tutoring center in Florence, Alabama. We specialize in ACT prep and offer general tutoring for middle school, high school, and college students. Our private office is conveniently located at 2105 Florence Boulevard. We do not accept walk-ins, so please call or email to register for a class or schedule a session.

I have a passion for sharing my knowledge and helping others achieve their goals. In high school, I scored a 30 on the ACT, earning a full-tuition scholarship at the University of North Alabama. In college, I was the one classmates asked for help with homework. I began working as an ACT tutor while earning my master's degree. Since 2018, I have worked full-time running Score Plus, where I tutor students from across North Alabama and Southern Tennessee. I also conduct ACT workshops at Northwest Shoals Community College and local high schools. I am proud to have helped hundreds of students improve their ACT scores, prepare for college, and excel academically.
About the ACT
The American College Test (ACT) measures high school students' academic progress and their ability to complete college-level work. Most colleges and universities award academic scholarships based on a student's ACT score. Just one or two additional points can mean thousands of dollars in tuition.
A Higher Standard of Tutoring
When it comes to preparing for the ACT, many parents and students have no idea where to begin. There are online ACT prep courses, but most of these programs simply bombard students with practice tests, offering explanations that are vague and unhelpful. At Score Plus, we believe that test prep does not have to be complicated or frustrating. We set students up for success by reviewing fundamentals through engaging and interactive instruction. We help students fill gaps in their knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of the material. We teach a variety of test-taking tips and strategies, all while providing support and encouragement.
